Peter Phillips's girlfriend Harriet Sperling turned heads at Royal Ascot yesterday wearing a designer ensemble worth £3,720, despite working as an NHS nurse specialist.
The 45-year-old paediatric nurse, who has been dating King Charles's nephew for over a year, arrived in the royal carriage procession wearing pieces from brands favoured by the Royal Family.
Her outfit comprised a Suzannah London ivory jacket and skirt totalling £1,885, Emmy London shoes and clutch worth £890, and an Awon Golding Millinery hat priced at £945.
The total cost represents a significant portion of an NHS specialist nurse's annual salary, which typically ranges from £37,000 to £58,000.

The cropped jacket with puffed sleeves cost £890, whilst the matching skirt was priced at £995, both from Suzannah London - the same designer who dressed Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh in a £3,780 ensemble at the same event.
Harriet's £945 wide-brimmed hat came from Awon Golding Millinery, a designer previously worn by Meghan Markle.
She completed the look with Emmy London accessories - a £395 'Natasha' blush suede clutch and £495 'Claudia' mid heel pumps.
The brand has been worn by both Princess Kate and Zara Tindall.
Harriet accompanied Peter as part of the prestigious royal procession to the races on Tuesday.

Harriet appeared comfortable amongst the royals, chatting with Princess Anne on the balcony.
Her hat also led to a sweet interaction with Zara as the pair chatted with their partners in the June sun.
Peter's sister was seen helping to fix Harriet's hat during the event, placing a gentle hand on its brim with a beaming smile.
The invitation to join the prestigious carriage procession on Tuesday also represented a significant seal of approval for Harriet from the King.

The couple were sat in the third carriage of the procession, a privilege previously extended to Peter’s former partners, including his ex-wife Autumn Phillips and Lindsay Wallace.
They shared their carriage with mystery novelist Anthony Horowitz and his wife Jill Green.
King Charles and Queen Camilla led the procession in the first carriage, accompanied by Saudi royal Prince Faisal bin Salman Al Saud and Lady Sarah Keswick, a lady-in-waiting and close friend to Camilla.
Princess Anne rode with the Duke and Duchess of Wellington and Camilla's younger sister, Annabel Elliot.

The couple have attended numerous high society events together since their romance began, including Wimbledon, Badminton Horse Trials and Cheltenham Races in January.
Peter began dating Harriet shortly after ending his three-year relationship with Lindsay Wallace last year.
Harriet, who lives in Gloucestershire, has a daughter thought to be similar in age to Peter's daughters Savannah, 14, and Isla, 12, from his marriage to Autumn Phillips.
The paediatric nurse specialist has aristocratic connections through her late father, who was related to the Duke of Gloucester. Her second cousin once removed is Christopher Courage, 61, a descendant of Courage Brewery founder John Courage.
