Queen Camilla wore the Tiffany & Co. brooch gifted to her by President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump during their State Visit to the United Kingdom on Wednesday in Windsor.
The Queen chose the new piece for the Beating Retreat military ceremony at Windsor Castle, pairing it with a sapphire blue Fiona Clare dress and a matching Philip Treacy hat.
The brooch replaced the historic Russian sapphire cluster brooch she has worn on previous occasions.
Maxwell Stone, a fine jewellery expert from UK jeweller Steven Stone, said: “The brooch is a floral-inspired design, featuring layered gold leaves radiating outward.

“At its centre, there are four rubies surrounding a central diamond, forming a striking cluster.”
He noted that rubies were a significant element of the design as they are the Queen's birthstone.
“The piece has a textured, almost sculptural quality to the gold, which gives depth and dimension to the leaves,” Mr Stone said.
Mr Stone added that the design suggests a mid-20th-century style: “Judging by its design, it has a mid-20th-century style, possibly from the 1950s–1970s, when naturalistic floral brooches in yellow gold with gemstone accents were very fashionable.

“Wearing the brooch so shortly after receiving it was a thoughtful gesture by Queen Camilla, signalling her gratitude and respect for the gift.”
The Beating Retreat ceremony formed part of the state visit by the US President and First Lady.
Earlier in the day, both Queen Camilla and Princess Kate wore jewellery with personal and historic significance.
The Princess of Wales chose earrings from the late Queen Elizabeth II’s collection and the Lover’s Knot tiara, a piece closely associated with Princess Diana.
