Royal commentator Angela Levin claims Princess Kate underwent a “very serious operation” during her stay in hospital.

The 42-year-old left hospital and returned to her home in Windsor almost two weeks after undergoing major abdominal surgery.


GB News host Nana Akua says she is “worried” about Kate’s condition with the future Queen not expected to return to official duties until after Easter.

The Prince of Wales has temporarily stepped back from his royal role to care for his wife and children.

Speaking on GB News, Levin said Kate’s lengthy hospital stay was telling.

“Nowadays people don’t keep you in hospital for very long”, she said.

“They want you to sit up very quickly and out, and particularly for someone like her who has got lots of staff and she can get nurses and doctors at the flick of a finger.

“Why did she need to spend all that time? It must have been a very serious operation and we hear that she won’t be doing any engagements until after Easter.

“That too its quite worrying. No one would say she should come back earlier of course, but it is a concern.”

Akua waded in to describe her “love” for the Princess who has experienced a turbulent period health wise.

Levin concurred with the sentiment, and went on to praise her for “not putting a foot wrong” since marrying into the Royal Family in 2011.

“She’s given up a lot and she loves the Royal Family”, she said.

“She’s dutiful and she knows what is expected of her. She does it with a smile and enjoyment.”

A Kensington Palace spokesperson said: “The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress.

“The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided.

“The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”

Kate left the London Clinic earlier on Monday and it is understood her return to official duties will depend on medical advice nearer the time.
