Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have hinted at an upcoming royal appearance with a cryptic post.

Edoardo, 41, took to Instagram with a photograph of Larvotto - the principality of Monaco's most popular sandy beach.

Beatrice, 36, and her husband were not featured in the photograph.

However, the beach picture on Edoardo's Instagram story has sparked speculation that the couple could be attending the 82nd Monaco Grand Prix, which begins today.

The royal couple are fans of race car driving, having travelled to the F1 Grand Prix of Bahrain at Bahrain International Circuit last month.

The Mapelli Mozzis were joined by Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank, Sarah Ferguson, Zara Tindall, Mike Tindall, and Peter Phillips.

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert of Monaco kick-started the Grand Prix celebrations on Thursday evening at a glitzy reception.

The royal couple welcomed guests to the lavish event, held in the Cour d'Honneur at the Prince's Palace.

The reception signalled the official launch of one of Formula 1’s most iconic races, with the Palace courtyard elegantly transformed for the occasion.

If Princess Beatrice does attend the event, it will come three days after she was photographed in New York City.

The mother-of-two stood beside Dustee Jenkins on the red carpet at the 2025 Matrix Awards, hosted at the Ziegfeld Ballroom.

Edoardo and Beatrice spent the beginning of this week at the Chelsea Flower Show in London, attending on the same day as King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Beatrice's younger sister, Princess Eugenie, was also at the event and took to Instagram afterwards with a statement.

She wrote: "Such a lovely afternoon visiting the @the_rhs Chelsea Flower Show, especially when I get to do it with my sis!

"It was fantastic to catch up with @horatiosgarden again and to see their beautiful display as well as visit some of the gardens on show including the @dsscotland Garden, the @hospice_uk Garden for Compassion, the Avanade Intelligent Garden and the Cha No Niwa Japanese Tea Garden (who has won garden of the year)."
