Prince William and Princess Kate have shared their support for England and Wales ahead of their fixtures in the Six Nations.

Prince William has served as the Royal Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union since 2016, having succeeded his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

In 2022, Catherine was appointed as the official Royal Patron of the Rugby Football Union.

She assumed the roles from Prince Harry, becoming the patron of both the men's and women's England teams.

Taking to social media, the royal couple wrote: "Wishing the best of luck to Wales and England Rugby as they go head-to-head at Twickenham today in the Men's Six Nations Championship.

"As patrons of both unions respectively… May the best team win! W&C."

The fixture marks the beginning of the two nations' campaign in this year's competition, with England going in as second favourites to win the championship.

Aside from their patron work, William and Catherine are bringing in fresh talent to bolster their communications operation at Kensington Palace.

Rosie Trainor has come on board as Senior Communications Officer this month, marking an exciting addition to the Prince and Princess of Wales's Royal Household.

She is arriving from Freuds, where she worked as a Senior Account Manager.

Ms Trainor holds a Master's in Politics and Communications from the London School of Economics, along with a BA in International Relations from Durham University.

The appointment comes as part of what looks like a broader restructuring of the Wales's team, with several new faces joining in recent weeks.

Sarah Henwood has also stepped into a major role this month, taking the reins as the Royal Foundation's new Chief Executive.

She is replacing Amanda Berry, who had led the organisation since June 2022 after spending more than two decades as BAFTA's Chief Executive.

Ms Henwood shared her enthusiasm on LinkedIn, writing that she's feeling "awe, excitement and a fresh energy" ahead of the challenge.

She has also announced a personal rebrand, choosing to go by Sarah Henwood rather than Sarah Rose in her new position.

When the appointment was revealed back in September, William and Catherine said: "We are looking forward to welcoming Sarah to The Royal Foundation and to working with her on some of the issues which are closest to our hearts."

They also added: "We are hugely grateful to Amanda for her exceptional leadership over the past three years and are pleased she will continue to work with us in her new role as Global Partnerships Ambassador."

Last month brought another notable addition to the team when Liza Ravenscroft joined the couple's household.

However, it's worth noting that her actual role at Kensington Palace is quite different from what that title might suggest.

Ms Ravenscroft is working in a non-crisis-based capacity, handling the day-to-day press interactions that the Palace manages on a regular basis.
