The Princess Royal was the first member of the British royal family to compete in the Olympic Games, having represented Team GB in the three-day equestrian event at the 1976 Montreal Olympics.
She rode Goodwill, a horse owned by her mother, Queen Elizabeth II. Anne later transitioned to various leadership roles and became a member of the International Olympic Committee in 1988.
Ahead of the competition, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited the National Curling Academy in Stirling and met with Team GB and Paralympic GB Curling teams.
Curling traces its roots back to 16th-century Scotland and has since become one of Team GB and Paralympics GB's most successful winter sports, earning six Olympic medals and two Paralympic medals to date.

"It was so cool, having the Prince and Princess shaking hands with us, chatting and wishing us good luck.
"I thought it was really special that they came along and I was honoured to have the opportunity to teach them how to curl."
Mr Mouat's mixed-doubles partner, Jen Dodds, described the time as "a blur".
Ms Dodds said: "I was just like: 'What is going on?' We had been in a bubble for over a month, just us, the boys' team and our support staff. It was overwhelming.
"You could tell they were a wee bit nervous. Obviously, it's not normal to slide about on the ice, but for a first attempt, they both did very well. I was impressed by both of them."
