President of the Heritage Foundation Kevin Roberts has issued a fresh warning over Prince Harry's US visa claims, as the royal's residency in America becomes increasingly under threat.

It comes as the conservative think tank have called for the Duke of Sussex's US visa application to be made public, amid claims that the royal may have "lied" about his drug taking on his documents.

The action by the Heritage Foundation follows the release of Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, which included claims by the Duke of his previous drug use.

Prince Harry admitted to formerly taking marijuana, cocaine and psychedelic mushrooms. Drug use can be used as grounds to deny a US visa application, which may now threaten Harry’s current US immigration status.

Former US President Donald Trump has stated that Prince Harry will be "on his own" if he is re-elected, in a fresh warning over his US residency.

He also claimed Prince Harry showed "unforgivable disloyalty" towards the Royal Family, in particular the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Discussing the Prince's visa, President of The Heritage Foundation Kevin Roberts told GB News that Trump's possible intervention is a "very exciting prospect" in their ongoing case.

Roberts also claimed that if Prince Harry did lie on his US visa documents, it would mean that the Biden administration could have given him "preferential treatment" because of his royal status.

Roberts told GB News: "In the United States, we believe that everyone must be treated equally. It has nothing to do with someone's title."

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Roberts explained: "One of two things is true, and either of these would be a problem. Either he lied, and the American government let him get away with that and didn't turn him around, or he told the truth and he would be turned around, or at least delayed long enough to figure out about the drug use."

Host Nigel Farage then argued that "sources close to Harry say he told the truth" on his visa form, asking Roberts: "is it possible that he did tell the truth and was given an exemption because of who he is?"

Roberts responded: "There is no doubt in my mind that if in fact he told the truth, that he was given preferential treatment because of who he is, and also because of who the American administration happens to be."

Nigel agreed, and raised the question of Donald Trump's possible intervention in the matter, claiming Trump could "reopen the case" if he is elected President in November.

Roberts revealed: "He sure could, and it's a very exciting prospect, isn't it?"

Nigel scolded Roberts and the Heritage Foundation, stating: "You're being a bit vindictive."

Roberts defended the think tank, responding: "No, we're being just."
