Reports suggest Harry and Meghan are developing a Netflix documentary about Diana

A former royal protection officer has launched a blistering attack at Prince Harry, telling him to "engage your brain before opening your mouth" and abandon conspiracy theories about Princess Diana's death.

The criticism comes as reports suggest Harry and Meghan are developing a Netflix documentary about Diana in 2027 - timed to mark 30 years since her passing.

Dai Davies, speaking on GB News, expressed fury at the Duke of Sussex for perpetuating what he called "nonsense" about his mother's fatal Paris car crash in 1997.

Speaking to GB News, the royal expert said: "Well, again, one of the lectures I give when I’m lucky enough to go on a cruise ship, as I do now and again, is about Diana what really happened in Paris?

"And again, he regurgitates the nonsense that this summer was a conspiracy.

"He comes out with verbal diarrhoea on occasion, and it makes me very angry.

"He makes me angry because he has his truth, which I have no doubt he believes, or has been told to believe

"And then we have the real truth. As an ex-cop, I pursue the real truth and evidence it, hopefully, before I open my mouth.

"There’s a lovely saying: engage your brain before opening your mouth. Unfortunately, Harry has a habit of not engaging that brain, if indeed he has one."

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

GB News host Dawn Neesom asked: "Do you think this is all Harry’s doing, or is it because he is with Meghan?

"Is it a ‘team them against the world’ approach, and he feels forced down this particular route?"

He responded: "It’s a degree, in my humble opinion. I’m not a psychologist of paranoia, but I think you hit the nail on the head by saying that.

"I think they genuinely believe it’s them and Netflix against the world. But they have to have an income, don’t they?

"And the only way they can do this is to regurgitate all aspects, including, frankly, his poor mother.

"I’m sad that they feel it necessary to do this. I just wish they’d stay in California, stay quiet, and let the rest of us get on with our lives.

"But unfortunately, they attract the media, don’t they? Full stop."

According to reports in The Sun, the couple have pitched multiple concepts to Netflix executives, with the Diana programme receiving serious consideration.
