The Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot in 2018

Prince Harry told Meghan Markle that he loved her before the Duchess of Sussex made the same admission, it has been revealed.

Season two of With Love, Meghan returned to Netflix screens today, where a string of celebrity guests made surprise appearances.


One such guest was fashion expert Tan France, who spoke openly about his 2007 wedding to his husband, Rob France.

Speaking to Meghan, Mr France said: “I can’t help but ask personal questions. I’m known for it. Was there a moment you were like, ‘I know that I love this guy [Prince Harry]?’”

Meghan replied: “Yes. That was our third date.” Mr France looked surprised, asking: “You fell in love on your - your third date?”

The Duchess of Sussex clarified: “We met in Botswana, and we camped for five days together.”

Mr France added: “So you really had time to fall in love in those few days. That’s nice.”

Meghan explained: “You really get to know somebody when you’re in a tent together, and there’s like, ‘What’s that outside the tent?'

“'That’s an elephant.' 'Are we going to be safe?' 'Yeah you’re safe.' 'Okay.'”

The Queer Eye star asked: “Did you tell him [Prince Harry] first, or did he tell you?”

Meghan beamed as she replied: “He told me.”

Mr France said: “Oh, that’s nice. That is really… You started to blush! I will stop this line of questioning.”

Meghan laughed and flicked her hair whilst saying sarcastically: “She’s still got it!” which he repeated.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot in 2018 at St George's Chapel in Windsor.

They went on to have two children, Archie (born in 2019), and Lilibet (born in 2021).

The family of four now live in Montecito, Santa Barbara - a short drive away from Los Angeles.
