Sir Rod Stewart was forced to pull out of two performances at his Las Vegas residency over the weekend after falling ill with a sinus infection.
The 81-year-old British rock icon had been due to take the stage at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday and Saturday as part of The Encore Shows.
Some ticket holders received word of the cancellation with barely any notice, sparking frustration among those who had travelled to see him perform.
One concertgoer reported on X that notification arrived at 5.48pm for a show scheduled to begin at 7.30pm, giving fans less than two hours to adjust their plans.

| PAOthers questioned whether the veteran performer should continue with such demanding schedules at his age.
Mr Stewart expressed regret over the disruption to his fans' plans.
"My apologies to my family of fans," he told the Las Vegas Review Journal.
"I am on vocal rest as I recover from a sinus infection. I look forward to seeing you at a future show at Caesars Palace or on tour this summer."

| GETTYDespite the weekend setback, tickets remain available for his Tuesday performance, with additional dates running until June 6.
The singer is then expected to return to the Nevada venue at the end of August for another run of concerts before continuing with his summer touring commitments.
Mr Stewart marked a significant milestone in March 2025 when he celebrated his 200th performance at the Colosseum, having entertained audiences there for 13 years.
This is not the first occasion Mr Stewart has been forced to withdraw from performances due to illness.

| PALast June, he pulled out of several concerts ahead of his headline appearance at Glastonbury.
The singer has consistently maintained he has no intention of retiring, despite announcing last year that he would step back from extensive global touring.
"I love what I do, and I do what I love," he stated at the time.
Mr Stewart has spoken frequently about the rigorous fitness programme he credits with keeping him performing into his ninth decade, working with the same personal trainer for 38 years.
His routine includes swimming, sprinting and strength exercises, with underwater training involving pushing a brick across the pool floor.
The singer has also been working on his sprint times at a private track, claiming he can cover 100 metres in 18 seconds.
Mr Stewart's health concerns come at a time when several veteran performers are facing similar challenges.
Barry Manilow, 82, revealed on Good Morning America on Sunday that he remains uncertain whether his singing voice will recover following surgery to remove a cancerous lung tumour in December.
"My voice, I don't know whether it's coming back," the singer admitted, describing his first sound check in a month as deeply troubling. "I didn't sound like me at all."
