The Princess of Wales quietly honoured her "intimate connection" to Pippa Middleton, according to a jewellery expert.
Princess Kate made a striking appearance at a Buckingham Palace garden party earlier this week.
The Princess of Wales turned heads in an elegant Emilia Wickstead pleated dress, complemented by her Phillip Treacy hat, previously worn at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's 2018 wedding.
Most notably, Kate chose to wear her cherished wedding earrings, a meaningful gift from her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, that she first wore when she walked down the aisle at Westminster Abbey in 2011.

The timing of Kate's appearance was particularly meaningful as it coincided with Pippa Middleton's eighth wedding anniversary with James Matthews, celebrated on May 20 following their 2017 nuptials at St Mark's Church in Englefield.
This sentiment is particularly fitting given that the garden party fell on such a special day for her sister.
Tobias Kormind, the managing director and co-founder of 77 Diamonds, Europe's largest online diamond jeweller, spoke exclusively to GB News about the significance of Kate's choice.
"After a two-year absence, the Princess of Wales's appearance at the royal garden party was marked by a deeply meaningful choice in her jewellery," he said.
Princess Kate paired her hat with her 2011 wedding earrings on Tuesday.
Reuters"Most striking were the diamond earrings she wore - these earrings were the very same pair she wore on her wedding day in 2011."
"By selecting these earrings, the princess not only honoured a significant moment in her life but also subtly reinforced the intimate connection between her private life and public role," Kormind continued.
"This choice underlined her thoughtful approach to jewellery, often favouring pieces with deep emotional resonance, making her appearances all the more poignant and memorable."
Pippa received a similar pair of earrings from Carole and Michael for Kate's 2011 royal wedding, featuring a pear-shaped diamond and floral motif.

She later wore these sentimental bridesmaid earrings on her own wedding day, six years later.
Pippa and James Matthews likely celebrated their anniversary privately with their three children: Arthur, Grace and Rose.
Kate's oak leaf-shaped earrings feature a pear-shaped diamond set drop and a pavé set diamond acorn, specially designed to reflect the Middleton family's coat of arms.
Estimated to be worth £15,000, these sentimental pieces have made appearances at other royal events, including the Easter service in 2019.
