The Sussexes were spotted at a film premiere in Jamaica

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will not be making a statement on health issues plaguing the Royal Family so they can “exploit every situation”, Lady Colin Campbell has claimed.

The royal commentator joined Patrick Christys and Phil Dampier on GB News to discuss recent public appearances made by the Sussexes.

They were both spotted at a film premiere in Jamaica while Princess Kate recovers from planned surgery and King Charles prepares for a hospital trip for treatment on an enlarged prostate.

Shortly after the pair announced their health scares, the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, then revealed she has been diagnosed with malignant melanoma, a form of skin cancer.

Lady C questioned why the Sussexes are yet to publicly acknowledge the health issues of those back in Britain, saying the situation “stinks to high heaven”.

“All they needed to do was make some public declaration”, she said.

“But they are not going to, they can exploit every situation as long as they don’t make a public declaration.

“The whole thing stinks to high heaven.”

Royal commentator Phil Dampier waded in on the discussion to add the couple are likely to be “concerned” about health matters back home.

But with the couple yet to acknowledge the issues publicly, Dampier believes their image is being worsened the longer they continue not to do so.

“If they had made a public declaration, there would be a certain sympathy for them”, he said.

“There might have been private contact. I’m sure they are worried.

“They haven’t made anything public and I think that is the contrast, they are enjoying themselves and probably went to the premiere via private jet.

“It does look like they are swanning about and enjoying themselves when there is real concern for many members of the Royal Family.”

Harry was heard telling hosts of the film premiere that he “had to be there”.

He smiled on the red carpet in Kingston along with his wife for Tuesday night’s screening of Bob Marley: One Love, a film celebrate the late reggae singer’s life.

The Sussexes also posed with Marlene Malahoo Forte, Jamaica’s minister for legal and constitutional affairs.

She said Jamaica could soon “sever ties” with the monarchy last year, adding it was time for the nation’s future to be in “Jamaican hands”.
