The Government versus the people.
The court ruled that the illegal migrant hotel in Epping had to close.
Option one: mass deportations.
Option two: admit they were wrong about Rwanda which, by the way, several Labour MPs have now done, while comically calling for a Rwanda-style scheme anyway.
Option three: move them into HMOs. Houses of multiple occupancy.
Option four: fight the public. And they chose option four.
It’s just ludicrous, isn’t it? Ridiculous. They chose to fight the public. Bad move.
And gosh, this is the kind of thing where you’d want to see your Home Secretary front up, maybe put a plinth outside Downing Street, sell it to us, come on and explain it.
But where is she? Reportedly, she’s been travelling around Europe with her husband, Ed Balls.
So I’m sorry, but at this particular moment in time, she’s essentially fled the country whilst all this is going on. I think that’s pretty pathetic.
Meanwhile, some Labour MPs are now calling for a Rwanda-style scheme.
And Security Minister Dan Jarvis (who? Yeah, me neither) said: “We’ve made a commitment that we will close all of the asylum hotels by the end of this Parliament, but we need to do that in a managed and ordered way.”
We know what that means, don’t we? Close the hotels, approve a load of asylum claims, the overwhelming majority of them, and then move people into houses around the country.
There are set to be around 27 protests at migrant hotels this weekend.
The British Government is supposed to protect and represent the British public, is it not?
But today, by fighting to keep migrant hotels open, they’ve decided to go to war with the people.

| PAAnd just in the last hour we’ve had Reform UK’s new policy on illegal immigration. You’ve all heard it in here, but we always get a spike in viewers at 10 pm, so I’ll remind our viewers at home.
Their policy is to arrest and detain anyone who comes here illegally in disused military bases, and keep them there until they are deported.
They want returns agreements with countries like Afghanistan and Eritrea to send people back. They also say they’ll use British overseas territories, for example Ascension Island, where they can fly people out.
They want five deportation flights every day, and they will make it a criminal offence to return to Britain once deported which, ridiculously, it apparently isn’t already. So there you go.
