The astonishing success of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix documentary critical of the Royal Family has been laid bare.

Harry and Meghan’s huge viewing figures were revealed along with the announcement of an extended partnership between the Sussexes and the streaming giant.


The Duke and Duchess of Sussex originally inked a five-year deal with Netflix in 2020 after stepping down as working royals and moving to the US earlier that year.

Their first project was a 2022 six-part documentary delving into the couple’s relationship, time within the royal fold and falling out with the firm.

It offered a deep glimpse into Harry and Meghan’s reporting of their experiences, including intimate thoughts and criticisms of the Royal Family.

Following the new deal announcement, it has now been revealed that Harry & Meghan debuted to a huge 23.4 million views.

These staggering numbers earned it the accolades of "the most viewed documentary ever through its first 4 days" and reaching the English Top 10 TV list in 85 countries.

As a result, the show is now show is Netflix’s fifth most popular documentary series.

The announcement also shared the viewing figures of Meghan’s lifestyle programme, With Love, Meghan.

Netflix reported it had reached the "Global Top 10 TV list and reached the top 10 in 24 countries" when it debuted March 4 earlier this year.

"The show had 5.3M views in the first half of 2025, making it Netflix’s most watched culinary show since its release," the streamer celebrated.

It will come as better reading for the Duchess as With Love, Meghan was panned by both critics and general audiences upon its release.

The show has failed to match the success of Harry & Meghan, achieving only 5.3 million streams, landing at number 383 in Netflix’s overall rankings, according to data previously released by the streaming giant.

Evidently undeterred, Netflix declared it would continue its "creative partnership" with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, through their production company Archewell, in a "multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects".

Included in Monday’s announcement revealed that the long-awaited second series of Meghan’s lifestyle show will grace screens later this month.

It promised: "A fun and heartwarming new season, welcoming celebrity chefs, talented artists, and beloved friends for hands-on adventures filled with laughter and discovery."

"From playful cooking challenges to DIY projects, Meghan and her guests explore bold flavours, experiment with new techniques, and discover simple ways to add beauty to everyday life.

A second series and festive special of Meghan's lifestyle show was also confirmed by Netflix

"It's all about embracing playfulness over perfection and finding joy in creating together," the statement detailed.

Thrilled about the announcement, the Duchess said: "We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand.

"My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision," she added.

Also revealed on Monday was an expansion of the Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle brand, As Ever.
