Meghan and Harry have to 'put money where mouth is' - need to rebuild faith in Sussexes

A royal reporter has said that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have to 'put their money where their mouth is' to rebuild this year.

Speaking to GB News, Kinsey Schofield royal and showbiz reporter explained that the Sussexes need to figure out their "core values."

She said: "I know when they struggle professionally, I hear through other people, that it affects them at home.

"I would never judge them on that because who doesn't work that way?

"When you are struggling professionally sometimes you bring that home with you.

" A US Weekly article that came out that said that Harry and Megan were dodging offers left and right.

"And this was really their time to "rebrand" how many times have we heard that word in the last two years?

"I think that they have to figure out what their core values are and that it has to be reflected in the activities that they do, for people to have any sort of interest in them or any sort of faith in them."

She added: "You can't say upon leaving the Royal family that you're going to live a life of service and then spend a significant amount of time on reality television for Netflix and Oprah Winfrey.

"We have not seen the life of service. What does Archewell stand for? What do you hope to accomplish with that? What is your mission statement? Not only as a couple but as a foundation?

"They've got to change public perception of them and put their money where their mouth is because there's so much talk and little action in the spaces that they're talking about improving.

"It's a fundamental lack of authenticity and people see straight through that and there's nothing that they can do unless they start to put their money quite literally where their mouth is and do some real genuine stuff that isn't all red carpets.

"The need to do something that isn't dropping the puck at an ice hockey game.

"That isn't moaning on Netflix."

Harry and Meghan signed lucrative contracts with streaming giants Spotify and Netflix after they stepped down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020.

However, Spotify dropped the couple last year after executives were left underwhelmed by their podcast.

A source told Heat magazine: "This year is make or break for them, and Meghan's told Harry to step up. So far it's been her doing the lion's share of the networking, and she's stressed - largely because so many deals have fallen apart.

“She wants to take a step back and feels it's time for Harry to get his game face on."
