King Charles has been named among the 50 most stylish people alive in 2025.
The 76-year-old monarch features in the line-up alongside Bill Nighy, Justin Bieber, Ralph Lauren, Cher, Emma Corrin and Zoë Kravitz.
British GQ praised the King as “a great ambassador for British tailoring”, noting his preference for well-made garments that have lasted for decades.
The magazine highlighted his regular rotation of Anderson & Sheppard suits, Turnbull & Asser shirts and John Lobb shoes, describing his style as both enduring and representative of traditional British craftsmanship.
The King, who has long championed sustainable fashion, is known for re-wearing and repairing his clothes rather than replacing them.
In a 2020 interview, he said he dislikes throwing things away, explaining that he prefers to have his clothing maintained or patched when needed.
Charles has previously revealed that he still wears shoes purchased in 1971 and jackets dating back to the late 1960s.
His linen jackets are fitted with new cuffs and binding to prolong their lifespan, and the Savile Row morning suit he wore to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's 2018 wedding was originally made in 1984.

The King once described his approach to fashion as cyclical, saying: “I am rather like a stopped clock in terms of fashion.
“I seem to come into vogue about once every 25 years or so.”
He was the only member of the Royal Family to appear on this year’s GQ list, which the editors said celebrates individuals whose “personal style” and “genuine love of clothing” continue to inspire.
The list also included actors such as Austin Butler, Daniel Day-Lewis, Paul Mescal, Adam Sandler, Emma Corrin and Julianne Moore, as well as musicians Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Nick Cave and Damon Albarn.

Designers Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and Yohji Yamamoto were also recognised for their influence on global style.
According to past editions of British GQ, other royals have occasionally been recognised for their style.
In 2011, both Prince William and Prince Harry appeared in the magazine’s best-dressed list, with the Prince of Wales ranked 27th.

In 2016, the late Prince Philip was also included, named among the UK’s best-dressed men despite being in his nineties.
Such appearances have been rare, and each has attracted significant media attention.
King Charles’s inclusion therefore marks the first time in several years that a royal has featured in the publication’s style rankings.
British GQ described him as the only royal on the 2025 list, praising his enduring taste and commitment to British craftsmanship.
Fashion analysts have suggested the recognition reflects a growing appreciation for sustainable dressing and long-lasting design, values that the King has long promoted.
His presence on the list underlines not just his personal approach to style, but also his influence in keeping traditional tailoring relevant in modern fashion.
