Sarah Ferguson has formally removed her Duchess of York title from Companies House records, signalling a further move away from her former royal status.
Documents for her company, Planet Partners Productions Limited, now identify her as Sarah Margaret Ferguson rather than Sarah, Duchess of York.
The update was made just two days after she altered her social media accounts, switching her X handle from SarahTheDuchess to sarahMFergie15.
She has also amended her listed occupation, changing it from director to charity patron, spokesperson, writer and TV presenter.
It follows recent updates to the Royal Family’s official website, where all references to the Duke of York were replaced with Prince Andrew.
The revised entry recalls that, with the late Queen Elizabeth II’s approval, Andrew’s military roles and patronages were returned to the monarch in January 2022 and that he would not resume public duties.
Fergie received her Duchess of York title upon marrying Prince Andrew in 1986, but lost her style of Royal Highness when the couple divorced in 1996.
Despite the separation, they have continued to live together at Royal Lodge in Windsor, a 30-bedroom property within Windsor Great Park.

Pressure is growing on Prince Andrew to vacate the mansion amid reports he has paid minimal rent over the years.
The Crown Estate documents suggest the prince’s long-term lease allows him to occupy the home for the symbolic sum of “one peppercorn (if demanded) per annum.”
Members of Parliament are now preparing to examine the Crown Estate’s handling of the arrangement, after cross-party calls for transparency over the Royal Lodge lease.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has backed demands for an inquiry, saying it is important that all Crown properties are subject to proper scrutiny.
LATEST ROYAL NEWS:
The changes to official listings come after years of public scrutiny over Prince Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew has always denied allegations made by Virginia Giuffre, who claimed in a posthumous memoir that she was forced into sexual encounters with the prince.
Shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick told BBC Radio 4 this week: “It’s about time Prince Andrew took himself off to live in private and make his own way in life.
“I don’t see why the taxpayer, frankly, should continue to foot the bill at all. The public are sick of him.”
Allegations have also been made that Andrew once asked his police protection officer to investigate claims about Ms Giuffre’s past, prompting a review by Scotland Yard.
In her memoir, Mrs Giuffre further alleged that Andrew’s team tried to hire online trolls to intimidate her and prevent the serving of court papers.
Prince Andrew has consistently denied all accusations against him.
