Princess Kate remains at the London Clinic as she continues to recover from abdominal surgery

King Charles has arrived at the London Clinic ahead of his planned prostate operation.

Buckingham Palace announced the King was suffering from an enlarged prostate last week and would undergo an operation.


The announcement came less than two hours after Kensington Palace had revealed that the Princess of Wales had undergone abdominal surgery.

Princess Kate remains at the London Clinic as she continues to recover from the surgery.

King Charles is expected to spend two days at the hospital following his operation.

Queen Camilla was pictured by the King's side as he arrived.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the monarch's arrival at the hospital in a statement this morning.

The Palace said: "The King was this morning admitted to a London hospital for scheduled treatment.

The King was seen leaving Clarence House this morning and arrived at the hospital around 9am.

The monarch had been resting at his Sandringham estate since last Friday.

Buckingham Palace said in a statement when announcing the King's planned operation: "In common with thousands of men each year, The King has sought treatment for an enlarged prostate.

"His Majesty's condition is benign and he will attend hospital next week for a corrective procedure.

"The King’s public engagements will be postponed for a short period of recuperation."
