William will observe how Brazilian innovators blend scientific knowledge, technological advances and natural environmental forces to cut emissions, improve air quality and maintain ecosystem health.

The Earthshot Prize represents a worldwide environmental initiative that identifies and supports creative approaches to the planet's most pressing ecological crises, including climate change, air contamination and species decline.

Each year's ceremony reveals five recipients who each secure £1 million in funding. The awards night brings together pioneering innovators, financial backers and youth climate campaigners who are advancing planetary restoration and conservation efforts.

The Rio de Janeiro event will highlight breakthrough environmental technologies and initiatives from across the globe.
