Princess Kate’s olive branch to Victoria Beckham was fully her decision, an insider has revealed.
The Princess of Wales, 43, was seen wearing a sophisticated khaki power suit from her friend Victoria Beckham's collection while presenting the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design.
Kate’s tailored ensemble featured an £850 patch pocket jacket and matching £490 'Alina' trousers in the shade 'willow' - matched with a white ruffled blouse with buttoned-up collar and brown leather heels.
Her decision to wear items from Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2025 collection was praised as “really great” by an insider close to the Beckham’s.

“The Princess of Wales has worn Victoria's designs before and it's really great to see that she's wearing one again,” the source celebrated, per The Mirror.
They added that it was “especially” good as “the outfit was not gifted and was very much her own call to wear it”.
Speaking about the close relationship between the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Beckham’s, the source was also glowing.
“Both couples support each other's charities and David and William are friends too, so there is a great deal of mutual respect there,” they said.
Sources close to the Beckham's revealed the outfit choice was purely her own decision.

British designer Patrick McDowell won the award on Tuesday, which recognised designers who are leading the way in sustainable practices and making a positive impact on the environment.
Sources told Mail Online that Catherine was keen to pay tribute to the late Queen's legacy through her participation.
They noted that the Princess has "long championed British fashion and designers" throughout her royal career.
The sources added that she "looks forward to continuing to do so in the years ahead".
