Gary Goldsmith has received mixed reviews on this year's series of Celebrity Big Brother

Kate's uncle has been evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house after an embarrassing five-day stint.

Gary Goldsmith, the Princess of Wales's uncle, received mixed reviews during his time in the Big Brother House.

The 58-year-old businessman is the younger brother of Carole Middleton.

During his time on the ITV show, he spoke about everything from his opinions about Meghan Markle to Princess Kate's whereabouts following her abdominal surgery in January 2024.

Speaking about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Goldsmith said: "I genuinely think that they should take the titles away."

He also told Louis Walsh his opinions about the Duke of Sussex, saying: “Harry was really, really loved, massively loved."

Regarding whether Harry will ever return to the UK, Goldsmith said: “He might need to. I think we’re a very forgiving nation. I think everyone will give him a chance again.

“I think the meanest thing I said was, ‘He wouldn’t make my pub quiz team.’”

Goldsmith also opened up about his "humble" family background before becoming a multi-millionaire.

He said: "Humble stock. Dad was a painter and decorator. Mum was an accounts clerk, so they worked hard.

"But Carole and I were both 'multi' before we were 30."

After being asked to clarify what he meant by Britton, Goldsmith said: "Multi-millionaires."

He added: "That's why I get really a bit narky when they say Kate's a commoner.

"There's nothing common about the family, nothing."

Goldsmith was asked by fellow contestant Louis Walsh if he was allowed to discuss the royals while in the Big Brother House.

He replied: “I can pretty much say my opinion about everything unless there’s a red laser dot on my chest.”
