The BBC’s former royal correspondent Michael Cole has wished Princess Kate a “speedy recovery” while raising about her whereabouts.

He joined Nana Akua on GBN America to laud the future Queen’s “message of hope” as she battles cancer.

She made the announcement in March with a positive message to the public, saying “I am well and getting stronger every day”.

“I do worry about Catherine”, Cole told GBN America.

“She delivered her message brilliantly to us and she gave hope.

“She held out her hand to cancer sufferers everywhere.

LATEST ROYAL NEWS:

“She said that she told her children, ‘mummy is going to be OK’.

“It was initially said she would go back to public life after Easter. It’s good news that the King’s treatment is being effective, but we have to wonder what is going on with Kate.

“Obviously, at the same time, we wish her the very best of good fortune and a speedy and complete recovery.”

The Duchess of Cornwall said of her diagnosis at the time: "This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.

"As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment.

"But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be okay."

While Kate has not been in the public eye, Prince William has dropped updates on his wife’s health during his engagements.

He said today that Kate is “doing well” during his first visit to the Isles of Scilly since becoming the Duke of Cornwall.

During his first visit to the archipelago, the prince took time out to treat his staff to a round of Cornish pasties.

He quipped “they’re not all for me” as everyone in the cafe laughed at his order of five “traditional” pasties.

He added: “It does smell delicious in here”.
