A picture of a Spitting Image puppet of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been seen in the Epstein Files.

The latex foam doll is visible in the background of a photograph that shows convicted sex trafficker, Ghislaine Maxwell, posing in Jeffrey Epstein's New York house.

The picture was part of more than 13,000 files concerning Epstein released by the US Department of Justice (DoJ).

The files revealed papers and images alluding to the paedophile, showing a series of images of the former financier with numerous high-profile names.

It is alleged that Andrew used the Spitting Image puppet to "grope" Virginia Giuffre when she was 17.

Ms Giuffre claimed she was forced to have sex with the former prince on three occasions.

In her book titled "Nobody's Girl", she wrote that "when Andrew cupped my breast with a doll made in his image, I only giggled away".

Johanna Sjoberg, another former victim of Epstein, testified to the alleged incident in 2016, describing how Andrew and Ms Giuffre were sitting on a couch with the puppet.

Ms Sjoberg said: "I sat on Andrew's lap - and I believe on my own volition - and they took the puppet's hands and put it on Virginia's breast, and so Andrew put his on mine."

Andrew was stripped of his British royal titles by his brother, King Charles, and forced to leave his 30-room mansion, Royal Lodge.

The former prince has consistently denied having sex with Ms Giuffre and has always denied any wrongdoing.

Andrew's appearances in the newly released images do not suggest any misconduct.

The former Duke of York was spotted over the weekend with a serious expression as he drove his Land Rover Defender out of Royal Lodge.

Andrew looked glum inside his vehicle, wearing a beige jacket and keeping a hat on the dashboard.

His appearance followed the release of an image showing the former prince lying across a series of women, unfolding inside Queen Elizabeth II's late, cherished residence, Sandringham House.

The photo showed Maxwell standing behind the former prince, looking down at him.

A friend dismissed the black-and-white photo, calling the image "hijinks".

"We don't see what the problem is. It's just hijinks at a party. He's fully clothed," they told The Telegraph.

Andrew's presence at the estate with Maxwell raises questions about the extent to which royal properties may have been used during his association with Epstein.

The identities of the women pictured alongside Andrew in the photograph have been redacted in the DoJ release.

The DoJ has not published all of the documents it holds, and many of the files have been heavily redacted to protect victims' identities.
