The Princess of York's family has been embroiled in scandal due to the release of the Epstein files

Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has been spotted eating lunch in Mayfair, just weeks after returning home from the US.

Princess Beatrice's husband of six years was tagged in an Instagram post showing a private “Lunch Club” event held at Cornus in London.

Cornus is a Michelin-starred restaurant in Belgravia close to Victoria Station, with its address listed as Eccleston Place within Eccleston Yards.

It opened in 2024 and is independently owned by David O’Connor and Joe Mercer Nairne, who also run the Chelsea restaurant Medlar.

The images were shared by Lando Design and Build, a construction and refurbishment firm, on its Instagram story.

Lando Design and Build describes itself as a construction company focused on high-end residential and commercial work across London and Surrey.

The post showed a long table set for a group lunch with place cards, flowers and printed menus. Mr Mapelli Mozzi was included among a list of tagged accounts.

The 42-year-old is a property developer and the founder and chief executive of Banda.

Several shots from inside the dining room could be seen, including wide-angle shots of guests seated along the table and close-ups of the table settings. A “thank you to you all” message was placed over the collage.

The lunch appearance comes after Mr Mapelli Mozzi was recently seen in the United States on a work trip.

In late January, Mr Mapelli Mozzi posted images on Instagram indicating he was in Florida, including a photograph with the on-screen location label “Miami Garage”.

More recently, Mr Mapelli Mozzi appeared in a montage-style video following the US trip.

Mr Mapelli Mozzi's restaurant images suggest he has continued with business and social engagements despite the fresh controversy surrounding his wider family and the Jeffrey Epstein files.

His wife, Princess Beatrice, 37, has been drawn into renewed scrutiny linked to Epstein through newly released emails by the US Department of Justice.

One email included a discussion of a 2011 phone call involving Sarah Ferguson and journalist Geordie Greig, with Beatrice described as being present during the call.

Ms Ferguson appeared to write to her spokesman, James Henderson, and Epstein: "After I hung up from our call with Geordie. Beatrice and I had a discussion and we agreed it was important to call Geordie back and make sure he understood the severity of NOT making a mistake and getting it wrong about Jeffrey, because he was sent to prison for sexual offending, but that he had done his penence and was out of jail and moving on with his life."

Being named in the Epstein files is not an indication of misconduct.

Ms Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor have always denied any wrongdoing.
