Two teenager girls 'raped on Norfolk beach' as police release description of wanted man

A police cordon was established at the scene whilst detectives conducted their initial enquiries, although this has since been removed.

The alleged attacks on the two teenagers have prompted a significant investigation, with authorities now appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area at the time.

A man in his thirties was detained in Northamptonshire on Sunday in connection with the alleged offences.

He was apprehended on suspicion of rape and transported to King's Lynn Police Investigation Centre, where he remains in custody whilst officers continue their questioning.

The arrest came approximately 24 hours after the reported incident on the East Coast.

However, investigators believe a second individual was involved in the alleged attacks.

And considerable resources are being directed towards tracking down this outstanding suspect.

Norfolk Constabulary has confirmed that efforts to identify and locate the second man are ongoing as part of their active investigation.

The second suspect remains at large and is described as a white male, believed to be in his thirties or forties, with short dark hair and dark facial hair.

He was reportedly dressed in blue jeans and a dark green jacket featuring white stripes on both sleeves.

Chief Inspector Nick Paling, district commander for Great Yarmouth, said: "We recognise how shocking and distressing these incidents are for the victims, their families, and the wider community.

"Specialist officers have been deployed to support both girls as we work through this investigation."
