Earl Charles Spencer has delighted royal watchers as he announced the adoption of an adorable new puppy.
The younger brother of the late Princess Diana posted a sweet picture to his social media showing the new family addition.
Charles shared the image with with the no-nonsense caption: "New pup."
The adorable snap showed the puppy sitting excitedly at the feet of an unknown woman who was clad in country gear and gently holding the pooch still for the photo.

The young dog appeared to be very excited, with their tongue playfully lolling out of their mouth and floppy ears alert.
Based on the puppy’s distinctive tan and black markings, they are likely a Rottweiler or Rottweiler mix.
Adorning the pooch’s neck was decorative collar adorned with shiny beads.
The image appeared to have been taken in a barn, with piles of straw strewn in the background.

The gender and name of Earl Charles’s new puppy are still unknown.
Regardless, the post delighted royal fans who flooded the comments on social media with adoring responses, describing the new addition as "beautiful" and "so cute".
"Beautiful. The expression on his face, eagerly awaiting instructions. Those magnificent large paws were born to work," one glowed.
A second, admiring the pooch’s collar, penned: "Big paws, but check out the bling!"

"What a fine, regal looking little dog," a third added.
Earl Charles posting of his new puppy followed a recent trend in royal circles which have seen various adorable companions being shared.
Most recently, both Queen Camilla and Meghan Markle posted rare pics of their rescue dogs.
After visiting Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, the Queen released a photo of her cuddling her latest rescue Jack Russel Terrier, Moley.

Soon after, Meghan Markle shared an image through her As Ever lifestyle brand that showed the Duchess enjoying a herbal tea while her own rescue Beagle, Mia.
But that wasn't all, Princess Kate's brother and dog-lover James Middleton was snapped with his beloved Cocker Spaniel, Nala, perched on his shoulder.
The Prince and Princess of Wales also debuted their family dog Orla's new new puppies as part of a birthday message for Prince William.
Orla, who had been gifted to the Prince and Princess of Wales in 2020 by James, had puppies in May.
Royal fans were delighted to see the young pups revealed alongside Prince William in a touching post to mark his birthday.
"Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!" The family wrote in a post celebrating the day. Princess Kate and her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis concluded the sweet message with a pair of paws emoji.
