The Queen has reiterated that King Charles is “fine” during a public visit to Swindon today ahead of his operation this week.
Camilla visited the Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Service (SDASS) and Swindon’s oldest family run business, Deacon & Son Jewellers.
During her visit, the Queen told a member of the public that the King is “fine” and thanked her for asking about the King’s health.
Jessie Jackson, 86, was hoping to meet the Queen as she visited Deacon & Sons Jewellers in Swindon.

Jessie told PA that she shook the Queen’s hand, asked about the King’s health and commented that the Queen is "lovely.”
Nicky Jackson, who accompanied Jessie, added: “We didn’t ask about Kate. We forgot about poor Kate.”
Nicky added “She’s a big royalist this one (Jessie), so she was very excited.”
The Queen previously told the public that the King was doing “fine” and is “looking forward to getting back to work” after a visit to the Aberdeen Art Gallery last week.

Following the Queen’s visit to the SDASS, Camilla went to Deacon & Son Jewellers who were celebrating 175 years of trading.
Outside the jewellers, the Queen was welcomed by people waving union jack flags and received get well cards for her husband, the King.
As she toured the building and jewellery workshop, the Queen is pictured trying on one of the watches and speaking to staff.
Camilla also viewed a selection of carriage clocks before unveiling a plaque to mark the special occasion.
The Queen is shown the South Western Railway station masters pocket watch.

Deacon & Son prides itself on jewellery with “exquisite craftmanship” and “timeless elegance that epitomises modern romance.”
The business was founded as a jeweller, watch and clock makers by George Deacon in 1848.
Both the King and the Princess of Wales are unable to perform any royal duties following their health procedures, leaving the Queen to attend more public engagements.
