The former prince is set to relocate to the Sandringham estate in Norfolk

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was captured on camera on Monday at the wheel of a Range Rover near the Long Walk in Windsor, sporting a burgundy Grenadier Guards jumper bearing the regiment's cypher.

The 65-year-old disgraced former duke held the colonelcy of the prestigious infantry regiment for just over four years after inheriting the position from Prince Philip in December 2017.

However, this military affiliation was among those taken from him in January 2022 following demands from 150 veterans that the late Queen remove his eight British military appointments.

Queen Camilla subsequently assumed the role in December 2022, three months after Queen Elizabeth II died.

A source told the Mail they are worried about the "fragile" state both Andrew and his former wife, Sarah Ferguson, find themselves in.

The pair have been tainted by their connections to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, leaving them facing an uncertain future as they prepare to vacate the Windsor property.

The former duchess, 66, has made few public appearances since becoming embroiled in scandals linked to her past association with the disgraced financier.

GETTY

Andrew is set to relocate to the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, though his intended permanent residence at Marsh Farm in Wolferton remains under construction.

The property has stood empty for several years and requires renovation work before it becomes habitable, with completion anticipated around Easter.

Until then, the former prince is expected to reside at an undisclosed property on the Sandringham estate.

A six-foot wooden fence has been erected around part of Marsh Farm where hedging is sparse, with construction equipment spotted working on the grounds.

Staff currently employed at Royal Lodge are being made redundant as part of the move.

Sarah Ferguson is meanwhile searching for a new home as the former couple prepare to part ways after nearly two decades of shared living arrangements.

Despite divorcing years ago, the pair maintained a close friendship and have resided together at the 30-bedroom Royal Lodge since 2008.

A friend of Fergie previously indicated that both are seeking fresh starts following their departure from the property.
