"There is this gap between the promise, the future and the current reality. In the book of acts that describes the establishment of this movement of Jesus after his death and resurrection.
"The disciples are living in the space between the promise and fulfilment, between what God has said and what God will do next. And in that waiting, they choose not to be passive.
"Peter stands up and names the loss among them. Judas is gone, not just as a person, but as broken trust. Yet the disciples do something important. They bring their uncertainty to God together in prayer. They wait and they listen. They don't just talk at God, then they act."
