In today's daily reflection, we think about the three gifts given to the baby Jesus from the three wise men.
"Gold. A gift fit for a king. Frankincense that speaks of our worship and prayers going up before God.
"And myrrh. The gift that pointed towards the sacrificial death that Jesus had come to die on the cross for the sins of the world."
"The wisdom of these men is seen in their worship of the Christ child, and that's a path that's open to each and every one of us. For, as the beloved carol says, where meek souls will receive him, still the dear Christ enters in."
