In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we ask how we can channel creation - bringing order from chaos - in our own lives.
"We've probably all seen the occasional news stories of a property undergoing a major renovation to prepare it for a member of the Royal Family to move in. Everything must be ready and in good order before such an important person can go and live there.
"I think most of us are aware that our lives are often a bit chaotic on the inside. Not physically, but mentally. Emotionally, even morally. That sense that our life isn't ordered or whole in the way we wish it was and feel it should be. Maybe that's why we don't really let people inside so they don't see the mess.
"I think that's why a few times someone said to me: 'I'm not good enough to be a Christian.' They've got the idea that they need to tidy up their lives and get themselves in order before God would be interested in them. But the Bible gives a very different picture of what God is like.
"In the beginning it says the world was formless and empty and dark, and yet the Spirit of God was present there to bring order out of that chaos. Later on, the Bible says something even more surprising: That the Spirit of God comes to live in every person who puts their trust in Jesus in ordinary, messy human lives. He doesn't wait for us to tidy up our lives. He just waits for the invitation in and he doesn't tut tut at the mess he finds. He forgives and begins to transform us.
"The question is not whether my life is a bit of a mess. It's whether I'll let God come in and begin to change me."
