In today's daily reflection, 40 days on from Christmas, we think about Mary and Joseph's journey to the Temple in Jerusalem, as was the custom to present their firstborn son to God.
"Compared to Christmas, it looks so utterly ordinary. No angels, no music, just a poor couple and a child that nobody notices.
"But within is an elderly man who does. Simeon has waited his whole life for this moment, and what he sees through the eyes of faith is something extraordinary."
