Zia Yusuf has confirmed that any foreign national living in social housing would be deported under a Reform Government
A row erupted on GB News as Ben Leo clashed with former Lib Dem councillor Mathew Hulbert over Reform’s deportation plan.
The Late Show Live host challenged his guest to “not be a snowflake” after he took issue with his phrasing of the policy, which Ben said would see “foreign nationals languishing in council houses” removed.
“I would say people from overseas who are legally living here and who have been given housing and treated with dignity as human beings,” Mr Hulbert said.
“I don't know what it says about us that we both choose to phrase it differently in that way.”
“Oh come on,” Ben hit back, adding: “Don’t be a snowflake, Mathew!”
Undeterred, Mr Hulbert questioned: “How are they languishing? Do you mean living? Is that what you mean, Ben? Living in council housing?”
“They are just sitting there because they're not working for most of the time, I suspect, because they wouldn't be in council housing otherwise,” the host responded.
