He urged the Chancellor to give firms 'a break' in today’s Budget
Martin Hall, President of Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber of Commerce, said businesses in the area are still dealing with last year’s changes, including the Employment Rights Bill.
He urged the Chancellor to give firms “a break” in today’s Budget to help them manage rising costs.
Hall highlighted the impact of minimum wage increases and employers’ National Insurance, saying it adds pressure straight to the bottom line.
He added that the key thing would be for Rachel Reeves to show she understands what businesses are going through and support growth locally and nationally.
