Labour are plucking climate targets 'out of thin air', Pottinger claims

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has been blasted for his "absurd" appearance at the Cop29 Climate Conference in Azerbaijan, after spending Armistice Day in France with President Emmanuel Macron.

The Labour premier met with world leaders at the annual climate summit in Baku as he declared the UK's commitment to an "81 per cent reduction in emissions" by 2035.
