GB News Senior Political Correspondent Katherine Forster has grilled Sir Keir Starmer on the delay in deploying HMS Dragon to the Mediterranean and previous promises to "bolster" Britain's defence spending.
Defending his speed of which he deployed assets, the Prime Minister told GB News: "We started redeploying in January and February assets to the region to make sure that we had the capability that we needed there.
"That wasn't an isolated set of decisions, that was done in conjunction with the US, in conjunction with our allies, and we're bolstering that again.
"And therefore, I can say we are doing everything and have done everything we can at speed to make sure that we are properly protecting our citizens, which was my number one concern. And that's why it's very important that I set out the pre-deployment measures that we took."
