Joe Biden has pledged just $20billion dollars to protecting the country's borders

Host of the Daily Wire Michael Knowles says Americans are "sick" of sending their hard-earned money to fund Ukraine's efforts, as Joe Biden has pledged over $60billion (£47.5billion) to aiding efforts against Russia.

The US President has introduced the border security bill, which will help crack down on the increasing illegal crossings within the US, and provide wartime aid for Israel and Ukraine.

The $118billion bill would grant Biden and the incoming President powers to temporarily shut down the border when daily crossings pass a certain limit.

This comes as Border Patrol recorded 125,000 migrant interceptions in between ports of entry along the southern border in January - a reduction from nearly 250,000 in December.

Joe Biden has urged for the bill to be voted on, claiming it makes the border "more secure" than it has been in decades.

He said: "Now we’ve reached an agreement on a bipartisan national security deal that includes the toughest and fairest set of border reforms in decades. I strongly support it."

Speaker Mike Johnson has condemned the bill and said the agreement is "even worse than we expected".

He claimed it will "not come close to ending the border catastrophe".

Discussing the bill and Biden's efforts to hand Ukraine and Israel billions of dollars, Michael Knowles says the country's mass migration is taking "second priority".

Knowles told host Patrick Christys: "The irony here is that the actual interest to the American people, which is curbing migration, that does not receive a red cent, actually, because all of the money set aside for it, will actually be spent to expand immigration and to expand the powers of the Secretary of Homeland Security and to expand the powers of the President to let in more illegal aliens.

"And then the rest of it goes to perhaps the second least popular issue after mass migration, and that is this war in Ukraine, that doesn't seem to have a strategic vision, that doesn't seem to be going anywhere, and that the American people are sick of sending their money to, where the money goes unaccountable, where the weapons go unaccountable, and where we don't achieve any strategic ends."

In the breakdown of the pledges in Biden's border security bill, only $20billion (£15.8billion) will be left for Americans to tackle their own domestic issues, including the border.

Knowles said of the importance of migration in the US and across the world: "This issue of mass migration is probably the single biggest motivator of conservative voters in the United States, and not just in the United States.

"In your own country, migration was a major driver of the Brexit. In Hungary, it's led to the popularity of Viktor Orban, it's led to the election of Giorgia Meloni in Italy, and it's led to conservative movements in Spain, Germany, Sweden and elsewhere."

Knowles stated: "If we are to maintain our way of life, then at the very least we must be able to control who comes into our country and who exercises political right here.

"Unfortunately, the political elites from Washington to Brussels, everywhere in between and beyond, don't want the people of the West to have that right, and so they keep trying to ram bills such as this immigration proposal down our throats."
