Rishi Sunak has been spotted appearing to mock trans people in newly surfaced footage.

The Prime Minister was caught on camera joking about “women having penises” while making fun of Lib Dem leader Ed Davey for his comments regarding trans rights.

Footage obtained by PinkNews shows Sunak joking about a need to “focus on biology”, a joke met by laughter from the crowd.

According to the LGBT+ news outlet, Sunak is shown speaking at the 1922 Committee hearing on 5 June 2023.

Davey’s support for trans rights were made clear during an LBC interview in May, which Sunak appears to be making reference to.

Davey called for more “compassion” and “maturity” in the debate over gender recognition after being asked whether a woman can have a penis.

Sunak can be heard telling a room full of Tory MPs: “You have noticed that Ed Davey has been very busy.

“You’ve probably seen that he’s been busy trying to convince everybody that women clearly have penises.”

Rishi SunakRishi Sunak warned Labour's plan could risk as many as 200,000 jobsPA

The room then bursts into laughter.

He continued: “You all know I’m a big fan of everybody studying maths to 18.

“But it turns out that we need to focus on biology to 18 as well!”.

Sunak has previously spoken on the matter, saying that “100% of women do not have penises”, vowing to legally change the definition of sex to exclude transgender people.

Stonewall chief executive Nancy Kelley called on Sunak to apologise for his actions.

"No minority community should be the butt of a joke," she told The National.

"It is incredibly disappointing that the Prime Minister chose to mock trans people in front of his parliamentary colleagues.

"This is a far cry from his pledge to govern with compassion and would be unacceptable in any modern workplace. The PM should apologise for his actions."
