Newcastle fans have called for the club to sack Eddie Howe after their torrid away form continued in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Magpies went into the showdown at the Gtech Community Stadium hoping to secure their first victory on the road of the current campaign.
Their day got off to a positive start, with Harvey Barnes breaking the deadlock in the 27th minute of the match.
Brentford then levelled through Kevin Schade after the interval, while a late brace from Igor Thiago following a Dan Burn red card ensured the home side claim all three points.

The result was a disappointing one for Newcastle, who continue to toil after the summer departure of Alexander Isak to Liverpool.
And fans have called for Howe to be relieved of his duties, with the club sitting 14th in the Premier League table.
"If we don’t sack Howe tonight we’re going down. I hope he has some respect and resigns after this s**t show," raged one user.
A second stated: "I’m sick of this. Sack him tonight. Burn at left back again costs us. [Nick] Pope in goal again costs us. Howe out!"

Howe has worked wonders at Newcastle ever since his appointment back in November 2021.
He has restored the club to the Champions League, while he also steered them to Carabao Cup glory earlier this year.
However, results simply aren't good enough at the current moment in time with the Toon falling down the Premier league table.
Meanwhile, though it was a nightmare day for Newcastle, it was another positive day for Brentford.
Many expected the Bees to struggle this season following the departure of key figures such as Thomas Frank and Bryan Mbeumo back in the summer.
But Brentford are enjoying a positive campaign, with the London side up to 12th in the table.

Star striker Thiago, speaking after his brace, reacted to the result by saying: "I am happy with my performance and thank you God for everything he gives me every day. We just keep going."
When asked where he got his talent from, he added: "From God. He gave me everything. Where I come from. it is so hard, and it comes from him.
"The way we work every single day. Together, everyone does our job, and then on the pitch the things come easy."
Brentford are next in action against Brighton on November 22 (3pm).
As for Newcastle, they'll be seeking a return to winning ways when they face Manchester City that same day (5.30pm).
