Labour has been urged by Shadow Chancellor Sir Mel Stride to slap full sanctions on London properties believed to be owned by Iran's new Ayatollah.
Iranian banker Ali Ansari, who owns a number of luxury flats across the UK capital, bought the properties on behalf of the new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, The Telegraph reported.
Mr Ansari was sanctioned by the British Government earlier this year after it was alleged he was funding the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Republic's paramilitary body.
Asked if Britain needs to be "doing more" to sanction Iran, such as proscribing the IRGC, Sir Mel agreed.
He told GB News: "I think in the event that the intelligence services in our country recommended that course of action, then that is certainly something that the Conservative Party would support in terms of these properties.
"You're absolutely right.
"There are a number of them that are coming to light. It appears some actually may be directly owned by the new Supreme Leader in Iran.
"And I think where there are situations like that, then full sanctions must be applied."
