Andrew fumed: "He's just talking cliched riddle jargon, clock ticking, rocks of decline, Britain gets its future back, light at the end of the tunnel, no more quick fixes, new plan, new priorities, no stone unturned.

"Oh God no - where we heard that old rubbish before!"
