Workers Party founder George Galloway has vowed to disrupt the next general election

GB News host Isabel Webster found herself going head to head with George Galloway after she questioned him on his Hamas views.

The Workers' Party founder appeared on Breakfast to discuss his pledge to disrupt the upcoming general election and challenge Labour leader Keir Starmer.

Speaking to Isabel and co-host Eamonn Holmes on GB News this morning, Galloway said: "We haven't been in a worse situation since 1941 and there is no Mr Churchill to step into the breach."

He added: "We've got 500 candidates and 650 seats. We will make some exceptions and not stand where there are outstanding local independents. But they'd have to be outstanding. We have to be persuaded that they are in a better position to win than us. We showed in Rochdale that we have the chance to break through in British politics.

"Anyone interested that's watching can apply to be a candidate, even at this late stage, by going online, on our website."

Isabel asked him: "Do they have to share your values? Anti-Nato pro-Gaza and not keen to describe Hamas as a terrorist organisation?"

He responded: "We've got a manifesto. It's a very good one. I recommend it to you. It is a very attractive manifesto. The candidates need to support our manifesto. Of course. When Monty Panesar, the great left-wing spin bowler, can be a candidate for the Workers Party you can see it's quite broad."

Isabel pushed for an answer and asked: "I haven't read your manifesto. So I'm just asking you, do people who sign up for your party share your views on Hamas, which is a refusal to declare them as a terrorist organisation?"

Galloway hit back: "I don't think you know my views on Hamas.

"Neither do you have the bandwidth and definitely not the time to absorb it."

Isabel replied: "Well enlighten me then. Please enlighten me. What will your manifesto say about Hamas?"

He responded: "It says nothing about Hamas. We are the Workers Party of Britain. We are seeking to save Britain. It's people like you that are obsessed by that question, not us."
