Conservative MP Esther McVey has launched a scathing attack on Angela Rayner's proposed tax policies, describing them as an "absolute disaster" that would drive wealth out of the country.
Speaking on GB News, McVey warned that the Labour proposals would harm those who have saved money or built businesses.
She claimed that wealthy individuals are already leaving Britain, stating: "We know last year alone 11,000 millionaires left the country, one every 45 minutes, and 12 billionaires now, so that's wealth from this country."
McVey accused Labour of pursuing policies that would result in "diminishing returns" for the economy.

"Typical Labour, they don't know how to create wealth or grow the economy. They wouldn't know how to grow a plant. They cannot grow anything," McVey continued in her GB News appearance.
The Conservative MP painted a dire picture of Labour's economic approach, suggesting the party only knows one strategy.
"All they do is keep squeezing and this is an absolute disaster," she said.
McVey escalated her criticism by labelling Labour a "Stalinist Government" with "Angela Rayner going bonkers, stealing wealth off everybody."

She claimed that Rachel Reeves "has crashed the economy so badly" that the Government has lost its financial "wriggle room" ahead of the spring.
"They're desperately looking for money everywhere," McVey asserted.
The Conservative MP accused Labour of targeting people's savings regardless of how they acquired them.
"You can't keep squeezing people who've got some money, whether they've saved it, whether they've earned it, whether it's a family business or land they've got," she said.

McVey further criticised Labour's approach to fiscal management, claiming they have "never, ever wanted to live within their means or look at what budgets needed to be smaller".
She argued the Government should instead focus on "increasing productivity, getting the quangos under control, getting the public sector under control, getting people back into work".
The MP also took aim at Labour's handling of recent policy areas, referencing deals related to farmers, Chagos, and the public sector unions.
"I'm afraid the only thing Labour know how to do is take money off people. I'm afraid it isn't a party that can grow and develop a country," McVey concluded.
