Patrick Christys shared his opinion on Rachel Reeves' 2025 Budget

This is a testament to how important this Budget is to normal, hard-working people.

But this was the most chaotic Budget in history. The last one was the Halloween horror show.

This time it's The Nightmare Before Christmas. They wanted to fund it by cutting welfare.

Starmer U-turned on it, and then Reeves cried in the Commons.

The first year of a Labour Government, we got free school meals, breakfast clubs, childcare.

Aw, bless. Anyway, now they've hiked welfare spending by £15billion.

Rachel Reeves did a whole special speech about raising income tax.

She said: "I will do what is necessary to protect families from high inflation and interest rates, to protect our public services from a return to austerity, and to ensure that the economy that we hand down to future generations is secure."

And then she all but U-turned on it, didn't she? Classic. Thanks for that, Rachel.

They said that they wouldn't target the working people.

Wow. She froze the tax threshold. Now, millions of working people are going to pay more income tax.

They have spent the last year just looking around at random things to tax, which culminated today in taxes on taxis.

Taxes on milkshakes. Taxes on hotel stays. So if you want to go to a city in this country, in your country, you will now have to pay tax just to go there.

I mean, good grief, seriously, I'm surprised that she didn't tax the very air we breathe. There were 43 tax rises today. 43. They've raised tax by £66billion in just 16 months.

She promised that this will be a Budget for growth. Yesterday, the OBR basically said there would be no growth.

And to top it all off, you're seeing now the moment right on your screens where her budget was leaked to the press an hour before she delivered it, and she had to read about it in Parliament.

That is the absolute show that we are dealing with here. Ladies and gentlemen, seriously, the whole thing is a circus and Rachel Reeves is the clown show.

We are now a welfare state with a country attached. In the next five years, welfare spending will rise from £73billion to £406billion.

What's one of the big things that we're paying for? Scrapping the two-child benefits cap. So there are around 341,700 foreign-born families who could benefit from that.

Most are from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Somalia and Nigeria. So that's who you'll pay for.
