Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has told GB News that his nation has "no moral or political duty" to assist Ukraine in their war against Russia, having helped them at the start of the conflict.
In his first UK exclusive sit-down interview, Mr Orban told GB News presenter Miriam Cates: "We don't feel at all that we have any moral or political duty to the Ukrainians. What we had, we fulfilled because when the war started, we let all the Ukrainians who escaped from Ukraine to the West to come to Hungary.
"We provided shelter, food, labour. We created Ukrainian language schools for their kids to be educated here in Hungary in the Ukrainian language. So we have done everything that must be done by a Christian community to have them.
"We are a Christian country, so we have duties, but not a single duty could be resulted in to destroy ourselves. This is not a duty. This is not a duty. Hungary first, and then we can have all the others who we can."
