Red alerts have flooded Israeli phones warning citizens of an "extremely serious threat" after Iran launched retaliatory strikes across the region.

GB News's Home and Security Editor Mark White has shown on the channel just how many alerts are popping up for citizens across Israel.

The Home Front Command app is the nation's main way to deliver real-time life-saving alerts and emergency guidelines to its citizens.

The app currently has covered the entire country in red.

After the US and Israel launched strikes against Tehran on Saturday morning, the Islamic regime hit back with ballistic missiles on the Israeli capital.

The Israeli Defence Forces have said defence systems are working to intercept the strikes.

Meanwhile, Iran's Revolutionary Guard said it launched its "first wave" of drones and missiles aimed at Israel.
