The four-day maritime celebration delivered substantial economic benefits to Aberdeen
Visitors to Aberdeen's Tall Ships festival have showered the event with enthusiastic acclaim, with one attendee declaring it "probably been one of the best events we've ever had in the Tall Ships Race."
The maritime spectacle drew deeply emotional responses from spectators. "It's been a fantastic four days. Emotional, dare I say, to see the throngs of people coming down to the harbour," one visitor told GB News.
Another praised the festival as "a magnificent festival that has come to the city of Aberdeen," noting how the ships created "a spectacular sight" that attracted "thousands upon thousands of people."
He added: "raising the flag of my country is always a precious moment."
The four-day maritime celebration delivered substantial economic benefits to Aberdeen, with the Union Square shopping centre recording its highest visitor numbers since opening nearly two decades ago.
Saturday's footfall of 78,685 surpassed the centre's launch weekend by 5 per cent, whilst Sunday saw 61,682 visitors in what became the busiest Sunday in the venue's history.
