A GB News guest has torn into Britain's "outdated" NHS after it was revealed spending poured into the service has doubled over the past 17 years.
Boris Johnson Minister Lord Bethell fuelled fury after he claimed Britain was face-to-face with a "social moral and economic disaster" by wasting billions of pounds on the body.
He further declared a doubling in spending on the body - jumping to £200billion - had "no impact" to show for it.
Discussing the claim on GB News, Martin Daubney commented: "Isn't it funny how every Government, since the dawn of time, is that the answer to the NHS is shovelling endless amounts of money into it?
"It's been a political addiction, irrespective of party. Now the truth is out. It's simply money wasted."
In agreement, William Yarwood, of the Taxpayers' Alliance, added the GB News star was "spot on" calling the ordeal an "addiction".
He continued: "Because what politicians like to do is throw money at the problem rather than actually consider what the internal problems of the NHS are.
"And there's multiple problems with the National Health Care Service.
"First of all, it was a system designed for the 1950s, not the 21st century to begin with. Second of all, the NHS has not been helped by the population explosion not just in birthrates but in mass migration, both legal and illegal.
"And third of all, the NHS, I think is significantly too top heavy."
