The Channel migrant crisis continues to escalate, with Border Force picking up boats and bringing migrants to Dover’s makeshift processing centre.

Despite repeated policies under Labour, including the France Returns deal and pushback proposals, crossings remain largely unchecked.

Authorities say weather is the only real factor limiting attempts, as migrants and boats continue to gather on French beaches.

With crossings nearing last year’s record of 36,816, the Government faces mounting pressure as public frustration grows.
