A Muslim woman who escaped Al-Qaeda has hit out at the liberal left for siding with Islamist regimes.
Yasmine Mohammed, who ran away from the extremist group, has now become a human right activist who campaigns for muslim women.
In recent years, there have been concerns that some parts of the western left are aligning themselves with Islamist regimes.
In a conversation on GB News, Mark Steyn said to Ms Mohammed: “This partnership between the Western left and basically Islamic supremacists is a disaster.”
To which Ms Mohammed replied: “Absolutely, it’s absolutely a disaster.
“The thing they have in common is their hate for the West, is their hate for Western values, is their hate for capitalism.
“So it is disastrous and it is something we have to pay attention to.
“At the end of the day, they’re not aligned.
“I mean Islamists want to execute every homosexual, they want to force women in body bags and that is happening.
“In Afghanistan they’re banning girls from school, banning them from jobs, banning them from being able to travel.
“It’s the same kinds of things you see in Saudi Arabia in Iran, these themes you see them in many Muslim majority countries, these are not progressive values.
“So for people on the left to be supporting this is absolutely ludicrous but they’re doing it now because they have they both agree in there hate for the West.”
